Location
Camp Moremi is situated on the gorgeous Xakanaxa Lagoon in the eastern extremity of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Game Reserve.
Accommodation and facilities
Camp Moremi accommodates only 22 safari guests in beautifully furnished East African style safari tents with private facilities. Each tent is exquisitely furnished with a Rhodesian Teak wardrobe, luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional directors chairs; colourful woven rugs, designer linen and matching interior blinds complete your African hideaway. 'His and hers' towel robes as well as tea and coffee making facilities are also provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Each guest unit has its own private bathroom situated adjacent to the tent and located on the raised platform.
The famous elevated Moremi Tree Lodge is the dazzling central point of the camp and houses the luxurious main lounge, a wildlife reference library, dining room and cocktail bar, shaded by giant Ebony trees and overlooking the Okavango Delta's Xakanaxa Lagoon.
Activities and game viewing
Makoro trips in eco-friendly dugout canoes, combined with walking to surrounding lagoons and islands in the concession give guests the chance to experience a classic Delta safari.
Moremi Game Reserve supports the most diverse habitat and animal populations in Botswana, with possible sightings of Wild Dog, Cheetah and Leopard being highlights. Resident species include Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo, Giraffe, Hyena, Zebra, Kudu, Lechwe, Sable and Roan Antelope.
