Location

Situated in the Malaria Free Madikwe Game Reserve boasting 75,000 hectares of "Top Ten" territory.

Accommodation and facilities

Featuring only 8 rooms including the Safari Cottage and the exclusive 2 bed-roomed Nare Suite - Stone and canvas walls and a shaggy thatched roof, to create a true safari atmosphere, inviting you to enjoy your bush surroundings.

Nare Suite

This exclusive bush retreat- so named because of the resident Buffalo Bull who frequents the waterhole in front of the Suite (along with the numerous other animal visitors) - accommodating a maximum of 4 guests in bush luxury and privacy.

The Nare Suite bedrooms each have open plan bathrooms, with a hand made “rock” bath and outdoor “safari” shower. A wooden viewing deck overlooks a fabulous water hole and encompasses a private swimming pool. The lounge and outdoor dining area, is equipped with a self contained kitchen – where our chefs can prepare meals for you in the luxury of your own retreat – should you so desire.

Equipped with a private game vehicle and professional guide you are assured of a bush breakaway to be remembered and repeated.

Safari Cottage

Beautifully positioned overlooking the Marico River, the Safari Cottage is perfect for families with older children. The children are accommodated in a loft room upstairs and downstairs a living room leads onto the main bedroom both overlooking the private plunge pool and the River. A separate bathroom has a wonderful bath and features an outdoor shower under a giant tambotie tree.

With Jaci’s trademark shaggy thatch roof’s and sliding doors opening to the magnificent views you can enjoy the privacy afforded by the Safari Cottage. We recommend children no younger than 6yrs in the Cottage as there are stairs leading up to the loft room, the outside deck area does not have a railing and the pool is unprotected.

The main complex is unique, open plan, curved around a ancient termite mound, under shady trees overlooking the water hole and on the banks of the Marico River. There is also a well-stocked craft shop. Jaci's Safari Lodge now has a fully equipped gym, overlooking the river and situated between Jaci's Safari Lodge and Jaci's Tree Lodge.

Activities and game viewing

Between the early morning and evening game drives and walks, there is a cool swimming pool overlooking the river. Lie in a hammock, sip an ice-cold drink, watch the birds, the butterflies and beasts, relax, unwind. The day, the place, the ambience are yours, in peace.
