Thakadu River Camp

Location

Thakadu River Camp is set within the riverine canopy along the banks of the Marico River in the eastern sector of the Madikwe Game Reserve.

Accommodation and facilities

The 12 tented suites accommodating 24 people, each with sliding doors opening onto a private viewing deck overlooking the river are decorated in an ‘Afro-Asian Safari’ feel with the use of natural stone in the main lodge. All suites are en-suite with indoor bath and shower, separate w.c, hairdryer and are air-conditioned. They also have private plunge pools.

There is also an 8 bed satellite camp – Little Thakadu – with its own private lounge, dining and pool area ensuring privacy and exclusivity for small groups and families.

Activities and game viewing

Game drives in the renowned Madikwe Game Reserve. You may also book a private 4x4 safari vehicle, if available and at an extra cost.
