Rock Lodge, located in Sir Richard Branson's Ulusaba Private Game Reserve, offers luxurious accommodation and world class service to guests on safari in South Africa.

Accommodation and facilities

Accommodation comprises of our two new Makwela Suites, four Rock Cliff Rooms, and a stunning stand alone, split level Master Suite, which is sure to bring out the romantic in you. The Rock Suite which comprises of two bedrooms, each with en-suite, is ideal for those wishing to bring little cubs of their own! All rooms and suites have air-conditioning and fans and include tea/coffee making facilities as well as a complimentary, fully stocked bar.

Activities and game viewing

A safari in South Africa is a wonderful way to spend a holiday, at Ulusaba we offer game drives in open 4x4 game viewing safari vehicles twice a day as well as nature walks. These activities are included in your luxury safari accommodation rates.

There are very few things as soul affecting than seeing the magnificent creatures of Africa in their natural habitats. A safari in South Africa is a once in a lifetime experience; at Ulusaba we understand this and aim to make your African adventure as special, fulfilling and memorable as possible. The excellent game viewing experience is complimented by other activities such as stargazing, bird watching and moonlit bush dinners or sundowners (weather permitting).

The daily walk usually commences after breakfast. This is a fascinating activity as it allows you to observe the smaller animals that you would usually not see while out on drive. Our knowledgeable ranger and tracker will enthrall you with tories about the medicinal properties of plants, local beliefs regarding the wildlife and fascinating facts regarding the animals. No additional charge.

As if some of the finest game viewing, cuisine and views in Africa weren't already enough, not to mention luxurious rooms and staff that make you feel so at home, Ulusaba also has a boutique spa at both Rock Lodge and Safari Lodge. The Aroma Boma Virgin Touch Salon offers a fabulous range of treatments to help you relax and unwind after the excitement of game drive.

Guinot Treatments offered include a liftosome facial uses a high concentration of vitamin C and proteins to strengthen elasticity and firmness whilst stimulating cellular regeneration.
